Holiday Joy

Happy Holidays Everyone! I was supposed to be cleaning my office and putting things away in preparation for the whirlwind of holiday wrapping which will take place over the next few days.  I saw this paper on my desk and grabbed a white card base and my snowflake punch and threw this card together.  I love the little JOY sentiment from Gina K's Snow One Like You.

Wishing you and yours all the joy of this holiday season!

Gina K. Designs Changes

Hi Everyone. Thank you for all your wonderful comments during the last release. I was really appreciative of all your support! I wanted to send out a special thank you to the FreckledANDfun Fabulous Four Design Team. They have helped me throughout 2012 getting my stamp line with Gina K. Designs off the ground. In January, there are going to be amazing changes over at Gina K. Designs. With those changes, we have decided to no longer carry personal design teams. While these friends of mine (Debbie, Cindy L., Cindy C., Val & Anita) are no longer going to be focusing on my stamp line, they will continue to inspire me.  Please stop by their blogs often to see what they have in store. I have changed the look of my blog and tried to clean things up with the hopes that you are easily able to navigate here easily. Please feel free to share any constructive feedback!

Have a WONDERFUL holiday season!

Gina K. Inspiration Hop: Perfect Plaids and Snow One Like You

The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! Gina and the Design Team will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! In case you missed my perfect plaid card from the other day, here it is again - I made faux Burberry.

This next card was created with the perfect plaids set and the sentiments from Becky's Warm Woolen Mittens. I stamped the plaid across in black and used copics to give it that holiday feel.

So this washi tape is all the rage, right? I have yet to spend a penny on the stuff when it is easy to create it myself. Using the plaids and some ink, I created strips of the "faux washi tape" and adhered them to a white card base. The sentiment is made with the Lots of Letters stamp set. Some naked buttons to coordinate with the tape finish off the card!

When I saw this adorable snowman, I knew I wanted to make a snow globe with him in it! My daughter Bella loves snow globes. I covered him in stickles - It was simply a punched circle and a folder tab punch (cut in half).

The snowflakes on the background of the card were done in versamark and white. I stamped the bird house and then colored it with copics.

Gina K. Inspirational Hop: Elegant Florals and Sentimental Holidays

I hope you have a nice warm cuppa ready, because I have quite a few samples!

I love having a stash of birthday cards on hand. You never know when you are going to need to grab a gift card and stuff it in the mail! This elegant florals set allows me to use the beautiful versatile sentiments with some of the Gina K. paper to easily create a card.

This first card uses some scraps and a cameo custom die cut leaf branch with some pretty purple buttons I found in my stash.

Using that same sentiment, the look completely changes with a few random circles punched out with Gina K. paper and some fun & bright colors.

Same sentiment, completely different look. This was for a "Hippie" birthday party. Victoria said the birthday girl loved pink - so using the cameo, I customized a peace symbol and covered it in stickles.

Finally, here are two simple cards which I created. Sympathy cards are so tough to make, but the soft look of the leaf branches and flowers and the beautiful font for the sentiment makes these cards so easy to create.

Sentimental Holiday in clear and red rubber is now available at Gina K. designs. It is my latest stamp set and I absolutely love creating with it....

This one is non-traditional holiday colors, but when it was done, I was so pleased! The sentiment is stamped in black and the tree in pistachio.

This was a super fun card to make - lots of buttons and a little sentiment from sentimental holidays! Super easy!

I guess I was on a kraft kick, huh? I created this simple card using sentimental holiday and some punched snowflakes, made with Gina K. designer paper and some small red buttons from my stash.

It's all about the sentiment - but the dry pressure embossing sure is a fun look. Simple buttons and ribbon complete the card!

Gina K. Inspirational Blog Hop: Lots of Letters and Warm Woolen Mittens

I have been on a clean & simple kick as of late. I love the multiple layer look, don't get me wrong, but there is something so appealing about a clean & simple card. These wonderful sets being featured today allow for such versatile cards and CAS cards as well!

Victoria (my 13 year old) had two birthday parties this weekend, so I had to whip up some cute teen cards. This one was created with the Lots of Letters stamp set. So simple and fun - using the letters and the square stitched background. I used black, white and pink - colors requested by Victoria for her friend Abby.

This card uses lots of letters

This second card features not only the woolen mittens stamp set, but also the perfect plaids background set. I made a faux burberry scarf background with black ink and red, cream and brown copics. I added some of the Gina K. ribbon and then stamped and trimmed up the mittens and colored them with copics. I used some old rustic thread I had on my desk to tie up the mittens. I love the sentiment font - so cute!
