Gina K. Designs Illustrator Hop: Mix & Match

The Gina K Designs illustrators are hopping today to share some fun ways to combine the new release stamp sets. Hope you will join us as we Mix and Match!

Today, I am Mixing and Matching my Lovely Ladybug set with Tami Mayberry's Simple Hearts stamp set!

I combined innocent pink, cherry red & dark sage inks from Gina K's new color companions collection!

This sweet & simple card was easy to make with a layer of 4 x 5.25 kraft atop a kraft A2 card base. I rounded one corner and added a pink gem to the center of one of the images. The sentiment is from Lovely Ladybug, stamped in memento black!

Check out what the other illustrators have in store:

Sweet Treats, Darling Divas Mini Sets

Are you ready for some stamping?

here is the first sample, which I shared previously at the release party (last week)

And here is another sample - very CAS

Debbie's Divas are going to be a huge hit - I can feel it in my bones!

I had to edit my post this morning to let you know that LAST NIGHT, in honor of the divas - I went to yoga for the very first time. I mean, heck, I live in yoga pants - so finally they have (yes, I mean the pants), been yogafied! I somewhat enjoyed the Yoga - it was not easy and there were times that I was snickering instead of breathing. It does bother me that someone's stinky feet were inches away from my face, but other than that - I can officially now wear above mentioned yoga pants officially!

Here is the first set called Balance Diva

ps. that was NOT what I looked like last night (my mat was turqoise and my hair was all OVER the place crazy)

here is another sample - very CAS

This next card uses the figure 8 from the Skater Diva set. I thought I would use it to make a background, then realized that it reminded me of the wings of a dragonfly - so I made one with the figure 8 and the small heart. Add a little bling and a sentiment from Cammie's Stamp it Big! set

another sample - with Skater Diva - the designer paper reminded me of the ice being scratched up with the skates....

And finally scooter Diva - with her pink vespa! Hot pink shoes and bag - I added a black gem to the center of each of the wheels!

Here is another card using Scooter Diva & a sentiment from Lovely Ladybug

Today I will be showing you ideas with Stately Flowers 6,
Lovely Ladybug (my stamp set), Stamp it Big

There are a TON of samples here - and some cards use more than one set!

this first card uses Stamp It Big!

Stamp it Big - fun birthday card for a boy!

A card using Gina's new cardstock and Stately Flowers 6

This card uses Stately Flowers 6 and a sentiment from Assorted Greetings

Readers were commenting whether you can use the lovely ladybug set without a cut file! Punches work great!
Instead of using the cut file, try using the 1 3/8" punch, it fits perfect!

This card uses lovely ladybug and some of the new ribbons and a red button from Gina's new color collection

Timeless colors with Black, White and Red. THe strip of black is embossed with polka dots! Note the tiny red button in the center of the bug!
This was a card that I used the new Gina K. color inks on to compare it to memento inks. I love the coverage of the inks and added it to the innocent pink card base to create a simple card.

Don't limit yourself to circle punches - try a heart punch! For this card, I stamped the polka dot ladybug on white card stock, then punched out three hearts, added some new Gina K. buttons and the sentiment from Lovely Ladybugs. Quick simple valentine!

quick card with new Gina K. designer paper and the lovely ladybug set. Added some black gems to the back of the bug! The circle is punched out with the 1 3/8" punch and is raised up with foam squares.
Debbie Corbari challenged me to make a "snapshot" card with my ladybug in the photo. Who has two inky thumbs and doesn't back away from a challenge - this girl!

Quick and simple design just using images from Lovely Ladybug

Well! That was a ton of cards! Hope you enjoyed them!

Gina K. Designs: Color Companions...new ink

I just received my inks from Gina K. Designs and I could not be happier with the product. The coverage is phenomenal! If you are like me, you probably have a small fortune invested in stamping supplies. It's frustrating when you order something and expect quality and it is not delivered!

I am here to tell you that this ink is FANTASTIC! For $5.95 per pad you will be THRILLED! Ebay and Craigslist are going to be hopping with all my old inks!

The inks are currently available in 8 colors:

The ink pads are Made in the USA! They are acid-free, PH neutral, water proof, and they cling to the stamps incredibly!

Here is the ink stamped on both Kraft (top) card stock and white (bottom) with one of the stamps from Lovely Ladybug.

On the right is a card which I stamped with Lovely Ladybug for last night's release party. I used memento ink (angel pink and rhubarb stalk). On the left is the same images stamped with the innocent pink and cherry red inks from Gina K. Not that memento doesn't have beautiful coverage, but this new ink seems to grab to the clearly gina k stamps better and create an image that is crisp and clean.  Having matching card stock, ribbon and buttons is definitely a plus!
