I guess it is the time of year to replenish my birthday card stash. I make cards for all the teachers and staff at the elementary school for our PTA.  Today's cards will be for them! I am a little behind! Birthday Essentials Stamp TV kit to the RESCUE!

This first card was fun to color with Spectrum Noir.  I stamped the images in black.

This card was fun to make. I love the way the white ink pops off the card! I used bakers twine for the stem of the acrylic flower. It was from my stash!

This card was created with by lining up some post it notes 1/3 of the way from the top of the card. I used a variety of inks and the images from the Birthday Blessings kit to create this card. I stamped the sentiment in black and then went over it with a black sparkle pen.

This card is very simple, yet the card could be used for a man or woman.  White ink on craft just POPS!
Sentiment in dark chocolate.

Theresa's Northwoods 2 set was fun to work with. I stamped the trees in moss, then slightly offset in white ink to create snow. I used a watercolor brush with the white ink to create the snowscape on the bottom and spritzed the card with some shimmer spray.  I guess I was inspired by our -15* cold weather!

This final card was stamped with black ink and colored with both spectrum noir markers and then I added a hint of white ink with the watercolor brush. I used  I stamped the images in black.  I used two colors of bakers twine on the card (hot pink and black).

Gina K. Designs Inspiration Blog Hop Day One: Stately Flowers 9 & Knit Wit Diva

Melanie's set includes wonderful sentiments along with beautiful floral images. This pink on pink design with a hit of white and bling! You know this is going to be Lee Murphy's favorite!

It is so hard to see the shimmer of the flowers on this clean and simple card. I used a watercolor brush with shimmery gold ink on the edges of the flowers. It sparkles so beautifully!

The shimmery ivory base of this card is not captured in the photograph (I have such a hard time photographing the white/ivory cards).  This is a simple design with the passionate pink sentiment cut out with the flower die. I thought it looked like a ball of yarn. I used beige thread and dyed it hot pink with a spectrum noir marker!

I used a distressed lines embossing folder on the base of this card. It reminded me of the fringy look of yarn.  Perfect for a card about knitting! The set had this basket of yard balls, so I added the sentiment and the knitting needles sticking out of the basket.  The thread is dyed blue to match the yarn on the card. I simply ran a spectrum noir marker over the thread and it dyed instantly! Only took a few moments to dry too!

This Diva was pretty easy to color.  I tried my hand at knitting last year during swim meets.  My knitting is still in my office - unfinished.  I guess I should bring it to the next 3 day swim meet and finish the blanket I started! HA HA!
