CAS Monday: With Sympathy

Welcome to the first Clean & Simple Monday.  Everyone hates Mondays - so I thought that it would be something we can both look forward to: a new C&S card for you to view - and an outlet for me to create and share!  so grab a cuppa and kick up your feet!

Finding the right words when someone has suffered a loss can be so difficult.  This card is perfect to send to anyone going through a trying time.

The Gina K. kraft base is 4.25 x 5.5.  I stamped the large damask image from Delicate Damask with Gina K white ink. I let it dry a few minutes before stamping the sentiment (also from Delicate Damask) on top with black ink. The sentiment could easily be anything from the set! It is a 2 minute card which is so quick to replicate - but the clean look of the white on kraft is timeless!

Stop by next Monday for another card on Clean & Simple Monday!

Delicate Damask Mini Hop

My oldest two daughters are attending a France Peace Program [exchange], where they get to go stay in the outskirts of Paris early next month! I could not be more jealous supportive [ha ha].  They are visiting many historical sites and museums, and they have to keep a journal, so I purchased these Kraft cover journals at Staples last month.  I stamped with my Damask set along with Lots of Letters [karen, paris 2015] and Fleur de lis!  I made a similar one for Victoria in green and white with the damask and fleur de lis!  There is a ribbon that is attached to the journal which secures a pen!

there are two little pockets in the front which can store their museum tickets, their receipts and their treasures!  The trip of a lifetime with some of their best friends!

When I think of a new stamp design, I like to see if the concepts can go together.  Obviously the fleur de lis and damask flow nicely together. But can I pair it with something as extreme as a halloween set? I think it works.  I took the orange base and stamped it with the line of damask images to create a great background. Reminds me of wallpaper or a couch!  The main image is from Wicked - as is the sentiment.  I heat embossed it with gold and added a gem to the candelabra. It was yellow, so I colored it with a spectrum noir marker!

I really hope you love the Delicate Damask set!

I love all of your feedback on my clean and simple style.  Starting next week, I will be making a regular blog posts with a CAS style card.  I hope to make this a regular feature - to give you some ideas on how to use your new and old stamps, to create cards that have a clean and simple flair!

Stop by Monday at 9 for the first CAS Monday on my blog!

Today I am featuring some cards with my newest set: Delicate Damask.  I have a great number of images and fun sentiments in this set. I hope you will like it as much as I do!

Did I tell you I have been on a watercolor streak lately? I have also had my heat embosser on a tear as well! This one I used the versamark on watercolor paper with white embossing powder and then used some watercoloring in greens and yellows to create the panel.  I mounted it on white to make the colors stand out! I love how the sentiment (from Lots of Lines) pops with black ink on the white.

This is a tiny little gift tag with a clear embossed damask image. I stamped the image with versamark and then the sentiment (which is from Melanie's with black ink.  I poured over the clear embossing powder so that the image and sentiment would both be embossed.  I knew that I wanted the sentiment in black and if I clear embossed the damask, I couldn't stamp the sentiment over the top later! Luckily, the Gina K black ink grabs the embossing powder too! I added some white card stock under the green with some detailing provided by decorative scissors (talk about old school)! These are so easily replicable!~

This is a cute little window card I created! the inside has a glitter embossed image from the damask set along with the sentiment.  It was hard to photograph the glittered image - it comes out pink in the photo.
here is a close up of the window! it is glitter in real life!

wouldn't that make a nice winter wedding invitation?

Stop back tomorrow for a few more samples with Delicate Damask!  One sample has an international flare! then starting next week  I will be starting a new weekly series:

it will feature cards with a clean style! cards which take very little time to make and are just as pretty as multi layer cards! Stop back every Monday for a new CAS card!

This is one of my favorite cards from the release! I love the heart chain and knew I had to make it into a rainbow! You will see this release that I am slightly obsessed with watercoloring and embossing! I am not sure why!

Here is another card with the heart chain. I colored the hearts in with spectrum noir marker and then went over them with a watercolor brush and white ink.  The sentiment is from Lots of Lines. Quick & simple birthday card!

Gina K Designs March 2015 Illustrator Blog Hop

Today I am showing off a card which I made with my latest stamp release from Gina K Designs called Delicate Damask.  It features mix and match damask images with some elegant sentiments. More samples will be revealed tonight at the release party and even more on Thursday when the set will be featured by the design team!

This card features a pink base with the damask images stamped in versamark. I used the Happy Birthday sentiment with black ink and some beautiful ivory organza ribbon with some pearls on it. I love the soft look of the organza and the versamark together.

Keep on hopping with the rest of the illustrators:
