The first one uses the dies - and the color combination was something that I thought would look amazing together. I used a glitter gel pen to go over some of the stamped image and in real life, it pops!

The second card is a clean and simple, one layer card. I simply colored the images with spectrum noir markers to make them really pop!

{Clean & Simple Monday}: Karen Dolphin - Whale you be mine?

It is the middle of summer and here I am making a Valentine card.  This one was super fun to make because I love blue (and this adorable whale is so fun to work with).

I used some blue raspberry for the base and sponged a piece of white for the waves (with some daubers and navy/powder blue and blue lagoon). The waves were punched out with a circle punch. The whale was fussy cut and colored with spectrum noir markers. The hearts were colored with a white pen.

{Clean & Simple Monday} Karen Dolphin: You are dolphinitely amazing

Today I am bringing back Clean & Simple Monday!

Last week my latest set, Karen Dolphin, was released.  Today I am showing this cute clean and simple card.  This is a super easy set to work with.

The dolphin was stamped and fussy cut, adhered with clear glue to the card. The waves were punched with various circle punches.

This set was very fun to play with and it is super easy to make an elegant card with very minimal stamping and coloring.

This one was colored with my white ink pad and some water colors.

I used some really fun colors which I had on my desk from the last StampTV kit for both these cards.

Gina K. June 2017 Inspirational Blog Hop: Day Two

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous blog hop celebrating the new stamp sets by Gina K and the illustrator team from Gina K Designs! We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs! Today, we are featuring the stamp sets by Beth Silaika and Claire Brennan.

These stamp sets are so fun and versatile! You will be able to create amazing card projects using each individual set or by combining the images and sentiments from multiple sets from this release. Have fun and be creative!

Enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win a $50 Gina K Designs gift certificate! To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop. Ready for some inspiration? Here are a few of the projects I have created for today’s hop:

Today I am going to start with Karen Dolphin.  My oldest daughter, Karen, is a swimmer at LeMoyne college. Their mascot is the Dolphins.  You are probably wondering why does a Jesuit school in Syracuse, NY have an ocean animal as it's mascot? According to their website The dolphin is the symbol and mascot of Le Moyne College. The use of the sign of the dolphin became common among Christians of the second century A.D. It was popularly considered to be friendly toward man and represented both love and tenderness. Noted for its grace and swiftness, the dolphin also symbolizes the desire for knowledge.

We have certainly fallen in love with the school and I wanted to continue the ocean themed sets with a few more creatures that were fun to color!

I love the little fish in this set - and they are so fun to color. You can color them with any color combination. For this card, the fish and bubbles were stamped and colored with spectrum noir in pinks and purples.

The background is watercolored and dry brushed. The plants were hand drawn with some spectrum noir markers and a white gel pen.  The fish were colored with spectrum noir markers. The jellyfish were stamped on the background and then stamped again and cut out to pop them off the card with some foam squares.

The whale fish and bubbles were stamped with black ink on vellum.  The images dried and then I carefully colored them with spectrum noir markers.

For Claire's set I really wanted to use some fun colors. I used a combination of blue lagoon, ocean mist and turquoise sea.  The sentiment is moonlit fog on vellum.

The image is stamped with lemon drop, sweet corn and dandelion.  I used some stick on gems and took a little of the ink and smooshed it  on the acrylic block, picked it up with a wet watercolor brush and then flicked it on the card.  The sentiment is in black ink.

Gina K. June 2017 Inspirational Blog Hop: Day One

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous blog hop celebrating the new stamp sets by Gina K and the illustrator team from Gina K Designs! We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs! Today, we are featuring the stamp sets by Melanie Muenchinger and Theresa Momber.

Ironically, we are now traveling to Hawaii to celebrate my parent's 50th Wedding anniversary.  This is (hopefully) our view!
Background is water colored

The next card uses the Gina K. double stitched circle die. Background uses the leaf pattern with versamark ink. What I love about the little ink cubes is that you can use them so easily to roll on the edges of a stamp for the rock & roll technique.

Once again I used versamark, but this time with the large sunflower stamp for the background. I had a sheet of vellum and used that on several projects this release. The images were stamped and fussy cut and adhered with foam squares. Black ink on the vellum (requires patience because it takes a LONG time to dry).

The images in passionate pink, mango, jelly bean and dandelion work so well together on this card.  When you stamp the sentiment in black it really pops!
