Gina K. Blog Hop: The Northwoods & Poster Board Sentiments

The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop!

The sets which we are featuring today are
The Northwoods
Poster Board Sentiments

Gina and the Design Team will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a few days after the hops.
Here are the samples I made with the sets:

Looking back at all the samples which I created for the month, I now realize I was on a blue and green kick. Next month I will have to spice things up with some other colors! :)
This one allowed me to use a coloring technique from the Master herself (Theresa). I used a nestability to die cut the main image, left it right in the nestie and sponged it! Super easy!
The Northwoods & Lots of dots

I am going to have a great stash of birthday cards in my basket! This one has a masculine feel, don't you think?
The Northwoods & Lots of Dots
I have never done the chalkboard technique and really wanted to try it! Here it is with the great poster board sentiments set! I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder and versamark. Once the sentiment cooled, I sponged the black cardstock with a dauber dipped in white ink! I lightly smudged the white ink all over to give it the "wiped chalkboard" effect.

Poster Board Sentiments & Lots of dots
This card was so simple and easy to make with some designer paper and some buttons!

  41. Beth, I love what you did with your Northwoods stamps. Both cards are really sweet looking. When I first saw the Northwoods stamp set, I thought, "That's nice," but now that I've seen the DT creations using these stamps, the stamp set went from just being "nice" to being amazingly awesome! I don't have the set yet. I've already spent my crafting budget for March & April, but as soon as I can, I will be purchasing this set to see if I can capture the same beauty in my cards as you and the other DT have done. Awesome work Beth!!!
