Yesterday, I shared one sample - today I have several! I did a ton of therapeutic stamping this past week getting my first born ready for college! There was a steady stream of best friends coming over to say goodbye! I spent some time stamping for the kids to get snail mail these first few weeks away from home! Nothing like a card from home knowing you are missed! Karen filled out some for friends which I am mailing this week!
I love this pink/white/black combo with the leaf pattern. As you can see in the samples, it was one of my favorite stamps in the kit! Ha ha! The sentiment is from the incentive stamp this month, which I think is now available for purchase. If you have a kid off in college for the first time, you need this stamp set. I am actually having moms come over this week (non-stampers) to make cards for their kids!
Here is another card Karen filled out for her friend away at school!
The leaf background makes an appearance again! HA HA! This one with the incentive set for the kit - the black ink pops! This one I made for our swim coach who took the girls out on a team building activity!
Same leaf set, but made it a wreath in a circular pattern!
Here is the card I made for Karen to sneak on her desk before I left her dorm room. I put the 8 page hand-written letter inside the envelope too! You can never tell them enough times how proud you are of them!
I finally did some therapeutic coloring with spectrum noir markers. I will send this card in a few weeks (trying to hold on to the last of the warm weather before everything in the world is pumpkin spice flavored).

ReplyDeleteHi Beth, I love your sample cards and the use of them to encourage our children. I especially like the white leaves on pink and using them in the green card like a wreath. My kids are all grown and moved on to their own families now. But, I plan to send each of them a card reminding them again that I am still proud of them.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree with you about the snail mail. There is nothing more precious than a hand written note from and to someone special and loved. Sometimes those tangible cards are the one thing we hold onto for comfort on a bad day, turn to for a laugh or just display "because my mom made it". Blessings to Karen at school.
