Beth’s Keep Calm stamp set

It’s not too late to make your project or special cards because students and teachers will be back in the classroom.

WAIT!!! DID SOMEONE SAY BACK TO SCHOOL???
In our house, we have a child that considers the "s" word forbidden in the summer! She hates the early back to school commercials on tv and the radio! I'm not even telling her about this hop! Ha ha!

I created this first card on the new jelly bean card stock.  I love this color green! I stamped the apple {from Stippled Nature} in the jelly bean and then stamped the sentiment {from Keep Calm} in black! What a great card for your kid's lunch bag for the first day of school! This is a 4x4 square card.

Wouldn't this next card be cute for your child to hand to their new teacher on their first day of school? This apple is from Bounty of Blessings and the sentiment is from Keep Calm! Both were stamped in black, but the apple was colored in with spectrum noir markers.

Gina K. Blog Hop: Introducing Stately Flowers 8, Lots of Washi

Today I am featuring this month's stamp sets which includes Melanie's Stately Flowers 8 and my Lots of Washi

The first card features the beautiful sentiment from Melanie's set.  I love this verse!  I stamped it in black, and then added a band using Lots Of Washi.
The iris is one of my favorite flowers. I stamped it it black and used a watercolor pen and Gina K. inks. The sentiment is also from her set.
This card features the conjoined circles and a sentiment from Stippled Nature. Super simple and clean.

This card features Lots of Dots & Lots of Washi. I stamped the dots and sentiment from Stately Flowers in grey ink and the conjoined circle layers in sweet corn. I used a button and some custom bakers twine on the ribbon.

This card features the sentiment from Lovely Ladybugs. The pink passion banner features a stamp from Lots of Washi.

Wicked Cool Laser Tag Birthday Card!

Sometimes boy cards can stump me!  It is hard for me to not add scallops, glitter and ribbon!  Here is a birthday card I made for Xavier to include with a gift for a friend. The party was at a laser tag place!  That is the coolest thing ever for kids!  I created this card with Wicked, Lots of Dots and Stippled Nature stamp sets.

The designer paper is from a CHA stash of papers which I was given.  Not sure of the manufacturer, sorry!

Farewell Summer 2012!

It is hard to believe that the summer is nearly over! We have had an incredibly busy summer here in the house.

My six swimmers enjoyed a fun and exciting summer swim season with Knolls swim club! There were many cold mornings in the pool, but they had FUN!

The oldest 5 immediately proceeded to participate in the Summer Theater Camp production of The Music Man. My oldest, Karen, had the role of Marian the Librarian. Xavier was Winthrop. Victoria and Isabella were pick-a-little ladies (and Victoria also doubled as the Town Constable). Sophia was Gracie Shinn, the mayor's daughter. What a great show!

This past weekend, we celebrated one year since the accident that nearly took the lives of my husband, Todd and my oldest daughter, Karen. Luckily, they are both healing and healthier than they were last year. Here they are in Acadia National Park in Maine.

I had a few thank you notes to make, so I thought I would create one with my stamp set: Stippled Nature.

I used a tomato soup card stock base with the new Sun-kissed autumn designer paper pack from Gina K. The sentiment is from Assorted Greetings. I added some buttons from the stash on the side and rounded one corner. Super simple & easy!

 What do you think?

So what was your favorite memory of summer 2012?  Stay tuned tomorrow for a special hop with Gina K!

Gina K. Blog Hop (Day 3) Stippled Nature: Sincere Thanks

Thank you so much for all your wonderful feedback yesterday. I am sorry that the post was so crazy - blogger was giving me such a hard time!

This was a super simple thank you note which I created with a bunch of scraps of designer paper from the Wisteria Lane pack. I used a scrap of ribbon and a button from my stash, along with the sentiment from Stippled Nature.

The sentiment is stamped in olive. I love the look of the green and purple together! What do you think?

Here is ANOTHER sample (am I overloading you?)

This is really not as hideous in real life - I PROMISE!

I used a turquoise base, cut it with my cutter and added a strip of white. I stamped the flower and dot with versamark, added the sentiment and added the orange Prima flower with button and bakers twine. Simple card which only took a few minutes to make!

Gina K. Design Team August Blog Hop: Stippled Nature

Welcome to my Gina K. Designs Blog Hop!

The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop!!! Gina and the Design Team will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of deeply etched, pre-cut Gina K. Designs stamps! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hops!!

  • My cards are done with my first stamp set, released in July with Gina K. designs. The first set puts me in a back-to-school mood. I love the apple, and since it is two step, you can easily add the stem in another color. Rock and Roll technique would work beautifully with this stamp. I am going to put this card in my stash for the end of the school year.

I used a kraft base and some wisteria lane designer paper, along with a strip of the red hot card stock! I used a small brown button from my big button stash!

This second card was created with a kraft base and some of Gina K.
luxury white card stock. I used the distress honey, rust and mustard inks with the flower from the Stippled nature set.

A trio of buttons from my stash on the sentiment die cut finishes the design.

Here is a super simple birthday card. I stamped the flower on white three times with teal zeal ink and then the leaves with pistachio ink.  The sentiment is stamped in teal zeal ink on the kraft base.

There is a clear dew drop in the center of the flower. I added a small hint of bling with a sakura gel pen.

Here is a card with an autum feel using the new card stock, ribbon and designer paper from Gina's collection. I used the acorn and sentiment from Stippled Nature.
Finally, I made this super easy card with some fun designer paper from Gina K. I don't normally make purple cards, but I thought that the flower would look great in this color!

The flower is attached with a foam square - with a small purple button in the center.

I am going to be sharing MORE samples of Stippled nature tomorrow - so stop back tomorrow morning for another few samples!

Thank you so much for hopping by here and checking out the cards! Have a great day - be sure to stop by the next blog on the list:

This is a super simple card which I created for a little girl's birthday since her favorite color is blue!

Paper is Gina K. white and turquoise sea.
