CAS Monday: Many Thanks sunset

Another CAS Monday and another thank you note.  I had to make a TON of thank you notes the other day!  Making them with a watercolor wash is super easy, plus you can add just about any sentiment.  This  watercolor base pre folded card is perfect for those quick thank you notes. It is a wash of yellows and oranges, with a few sequins and a black ink sentiment from Lots of Lines. Drying time took a bit of time, so this wasn't a super quick card. But you can easily mass produce this card if you have the pre-folded cards and the patience to watercolor several at a time!

CAS Monday: Triple Rainbow thanks

Thanks for stopping by for another Clean & Simple Monday.  I created this rainbow thank you card with my Lots of Thanks stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment three times in black ink after creating the rainbow wash on watercolor paper. I love the way this card turned out!

CAS Monday: Tulip Thanks

Welcome to another CAS Monday!

Another Monday, another watercolored thank you card. I had a stack of cards to make for everyone involved in the elementary school production of Annie, Jr. It was so fun to watch and I was in charge of creating gifts for the directors/helpers. Each person got a handmade card and each was slightly different. This card was done on a watercolor base. I stamped the flower from Theresa's Elegant Florals 2. I watercolored everything with a watercolor brush and then stamped the sentiment in black (Lots of Lines).

CAS Monday: thanks so much

Thank you for popping in for another

Today I am showing a card which I mass created for the First Communion thank you notes for Sophie & Genevieve. There is a coordinating envelope using the same color image from Delicate Damask.  Sentiment stamped in black.

Super simple - easily mass produced!

What do you think?

I am not getting many comments on the Clean and Simple Monday series. Do you enjoy these posts?  I enjoy your feedback - let me know what you think and if I should continue the series!

March 2015 Gina K. Inspiration Blog Hop: Day 3

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! Gina, along with the Cast and Crew, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! To see the full list of winners check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hops.

Today I am featuring some cards with my newest set: Delicate Damask.  I have a great number of images and fun sentiments in this set. I hope you will like it as much as I do!

Did I tell you I have been on a watercolor streak lately? I have also had my heat embosser on a tear as well! This one I used the versamark on watercolor paper with white embossing powder and then used some watercoloring in greens and yellows to create the panel.  I mounted it on white to make the colors stand out! I love how the sentiment (from Lots of Lines) pops with black ink on the white.

This is a tiny little gift tag with a clear embossed damask image. I stamped the image with versamark and then the sentiment (which is from Melanie's with black ink.  I poured over the clear embossing powder so that the image and sentiment would both be embossed.  I knew that I wanted the sentiment in black and if I clear embossed the damask, I couldn't stamp the sentiment over the top later! Luckily, the Gina K black ink grabs the embossing powder too! I added some white card stock under the green with some detailing provided by decorative scissors (talk about old school)! These are so easily replicable!~

This is a cute little window card I created! the inside has a glitter embossed image from the damask set along with the sentiment.  It was hard to photograph the glittered image - it comes out pink in the photo.
here is a close up of the window! it is glitter in real life!

wouldn't that make a nice winter wedding invitation?

Stop back tomorrow for a few more samples with Delicate Damask!  One sample has an international flare! then starting next week  I will be starting a new weekly series:

it will feature cards with a clean style! cards which take very little time to make and are just as pretty as multi layer cards! Stop back every Monday for a new CAS card!

Dog Days of Summer Thanks: Day Two

Day Two of my Dog Days of Summer Thanks would have to be for Summer Birthdays! There are 3 summer birthdays in our house (4 if you count the dog, which we certainly DO!).  Genevieve celebrates her birthday on the same day that her grandma was born!  Although she was not able to ever know her Grandma, Gen certainly loves to brag about how they share a birthday.  They have the same beautiful cheek bones, vibrant personalities and love of music!~
I am so very thankful that I didn't listen to the masses and stop at 5 children - because my life would be so much duller without this little princess.

The clean and simple card which I created uses some Gina K. designer paper along with the sentiment from Lots of Lines.  Once again, the big sentiment looks so awesome in this purple color. The pop of green and white from the designer paper is so perfect and the button and sheer ribbon just add a hint of class to the card!

Dog Days of Summer Thanks: Day One

I used to hate summer - I hated the heat and the sticky weather -- but over the past 16 years, I have learned to love summer.  When my oldest three girls were young, I was told that the town pools were horrible and dirty.  Who told me and WHY I listened to them, I do not know.  Now my children live (and work) at the town pools.  We are there nearly every day (my children volunteer to help with swim lessons, we go to summer swim team practice there, and my oldest now works as a lifeguard there).  I now love summer - I love the crazy, going in 6 different directions - swimming morning, noon and night - the hot days when even I want to jump in the pool - The LAZY afternoons when it thunders and the kids spend their time in the basement playing video games or having a Harry Potter marathon.  I love summer.  If you have a town pool - join it!  You will meet wonderful people there and it will make you love those sticky days and splashes of summer memories!

Today is day one of my Dog Days of Summer Thanks -- and today is also my little man's birthday.  He is a swimmer!  He keeps me on my toes and I adore every little bit of him.

Here is my little man at his birthday party last weekend!  Of course it is a swim party - there are all his buddies in the background!  Eleven is going to be great Xavier! Thank you for being you!

Here is one of the seven days of thanks cards that I made - it is a clean and simple card, just like the butterfly birthday card I made a few days back, simply using the star instead of the butterfly and the many thanks sentiment from the Lots of Lines set.  The Gina K. color companions in the blues was a fun gradient way of creating a thank you card.

Stop back tomorrow for Day 2 of my Dog Days of Summer Thanks!

May 1: Mixing Lots of Thanks & Fabulous Fleur de Lis

When I created Fabulous Fleur de lis, I thought it would pair nicely with Lots of Thanks, using both the sentiments & the images! Today I wanted to share a few creations with both sets! Hope you like it!

This card uses grass green, sweet corn & edible eggplant inks for the images and grey for the sentiment. Clean and simple! My favorite!

This is a sweet corn base, sweet corn fleur de lis image and then I used grey ink with the Merci sentiment. Simple, yet elegant!

Finally, I used sweet corn, ocean mist and wild lilac inks for the images. I used the small fleur de lis and dots from Lots of Thanks, paired with the dotted, script & scroll fleur de lis images from Fabulous Fleur de lis. The Thank you sentiment is stamped three times with black ink. Rounded off the corner and added a few sequins!

This card was so simple and fun to make - I used sweet corn, sweet mango and red hot inks for the circles with a pop of black onyx ink for the sentiment from Lots of Lines

Shabby Spring StampTV Kit Blog Hop

Welcome to the Shabby Spring StampTV kit blog hop! Today the members of the Gina K. design team are sharing some samples created with the Shabby Spring Stamp TV Kit.

Here are the samples which I created with the kit!

This is oceans mist and white ink on oceans mist card stock. I randomly stamped images on the base and then stamped Happy Birthday from Lots of Lines in oceans mist on Gina K. white card stock. The prima flower in orange with the ocean mist button really provide a nice contrast.

The sentiment really makes this card so special! I love it.  A few sequins add the right touch of bling! I used a little strip of the striped paper on the side of the card and colored the umbrella with copic markers!

Finally, the one large bunch stamp set is great in Gina K. white ink on any color card base. Mix and match sentiments to create endless possibilities!

Take a peek at what the other designers created!
