Gina K. Designs: Merry & Bright StampTV Kit Inspiration Blog Hop

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fantastic blog hop celebrating the new Merry & Bright StampTV Kit. Today, the Cast & Crew has prepared some amazing and beautiful projects to share with you! Join us by hopping along on all of the Cast & Crew blogs to see the wide variety of samples. These will give you ideas as you create your own projects when you receive the set for yourself. Make sure to leave a comment on the blog because we will be giving away a prize! I think when Gina totaled the value of the kit - it was over $110 worth of goodies!

Here are some of the samples I created with the kit!

This first card uses the two separate sentiments Happy and Hanukkah, stamped in moonlit fog. I stamped a strip of moonlight fog paper with moonlit fog ink, using the pretty snowflake from the set.

The snowflakes were stamped on the kraft base and then sprinkled with gina k glitter. It is really hard to see the sparkle on this card! The merry merry christmas was stamped in white ink on the red paper, but I really wanted it to pop, so I embossed it with white embossing powder.

Traditional colors with this card - the sentiment was stamped first with red ink on Gina K. heavy base white. The holly branch was stamped and then I used a glue pen to cover the image and sprinted it with the gina k glitter.

Simple tag card with the gina k die cut in red, adhered to a moonlit fog card base.  The sentiment is stamped in black ink. The poinsettia is stamped in red with some gold dots provided by a gold leaf pen.

Enjoy the gorgeous holiday inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog. We will be selecting one lucky commenter at the end of the hop will win a $50 Gina K Designs gift certificate! To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop. Gina K. Designs October 2017 Inspiration Blog Hop: Day 2 (Noelle Mouse, Purrfect Christmas & Scripty Holidays)

Today, The Cast and Crew for Gina K.Designs welcomes you to a blog hop celebrating the new stamp sets by the illustration team from Gina K. Designs!  We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs!

I am starting with Chris' set - This clean and simple design shows two of the cat images in the set. I stamped the mouse asleep on the back of one of the cats!  Ha ha!

Another clean and simple card using Chris' set - I stamped the images in black and colored with spectrum noir. The ornaments and star were stamped with a gold pen.

Noelle is named after my niece!  She is a cutie pie and so is this stamp.  For this first card, I used a super wet watercolor brush and some white ink.  It wasn't dark enough so I sprinted on some white embossing powder and then it popped off the card like a snow splatter. I stamped the mouse, the hat and the candy cane. They were fussy cut and colored with spectrum noir markers. The sentiment was stamped and cut out, then adhered with a foam square.

This card was created with watercolor paper. I stamped Noelle first, then colored around her with watercolors and used a white gel pen to create the stars. Looked like a night sky to me! Noelle and the holly were colored with spectrum noir markers.

This clean and simple card was fun to color. I love Noelle peeking out from the top corner. The tree is super easy to color too!

This clean and simple card uses the sentiment from the new stamp tv kit and the present is from the Noelle Mouse set. The card possibilities are endless with the different stamps in the set!

Finally, I wanted to showcase the Scripty Holidays incentive set. This is a great set of four sentiments which pair so well with images from the Noelle Mouse set. I love the thought of sending a handmade card to my kids teachers during the holidays. I also have teacher aides, music teachers, select chorus teachers, bus drivers and swim coaches to make cards for.  While I love the multi layer cards - the extra time and effort it takes to make them is mind boggling when you take into account the amount of cards I would need to make.  I also like the idea of having my kids help out, so using a clean & simple design is the way to go.  For the next two cards, all you need is black ink and a pre-folded card (kraft or white).

Stamp the sentiment and image in black and use either watercolors, markers or gel pens to color in the image.

For this first card I used a kraft base and used spectrum noir markers to color in.

This second card uses the sentiment from the Scripty Holidays incentive set. I used the ornament balls from the Noelle Mouse set and "hung them with care" right under the sentiment. I colored with spectrum noir markers in greens and reds. I left a small space to use a coordinating sparkle gel pen to "attach" it to the script.

Both these examples could easily be replicated, especially using a misti!  Projects like these are also portable to swim meets, basketball tournaments, (insert weekend long sporting event with your kids).

This emboss resist card features the snowflakes from Peaceful Holidays.  I embossed them on watercolor paper and then used watercolors to create the background. The sentiment is stamped on black card stock and embossed with white embossing powder.

The background of main image is created with topics on glossy paper. The peace dove and sentiment was stamped in dark chocolate.

The Fabulous Holiday Labels set was fun to work with. I used the Merry Christmas sentiment and the holly leaves from Mel's set. I used the white pop dots and some chunky red glitter to create the berries. I fussy cut out the leaves and attached them next to the berries.
The second card uses kraft base with some fussy cut, embossed snow. I stamped the snowflakes with white ink and the sentiment and reindeer with dark chocolate.

Gina K Designs September Inspiration Blog Hop: Day 2 {Todd Turtle & Perfect Poinsettia}

Hi Everyone!

Today, The Cast and Crew for Gina K.Designs welcomes you to a blog hop celebrating the new stamp sets by the illustration team from Gina K. Designs!  We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs!

Today we are featuring Todd Turtle & Perfect Poinsettia.

Here is Todd Turtle:

And here is Claire's Perfect Poinsettia

First, Claire's set was fun to work with, despite the fact that it is still summer here in New York.  I used versamark and the Foliage art stencils on the background. I stamped the flower portion on the red card stock.  Then I added some gold glitter to the center. The leaves were stamped on white card stock with the pine ink.

Here is my first card using Todd Turtle. I absolutely love turtles and when we were in Hawaii, one of my favorite memories was swimming with the turtles.  They are so beautiful and graceful! Here is my first card.  I stamped the turtle with black ink on ocean mist card stock.  I added a layer of black to make it pop!

This card was super fun to make - using glossy paper and alcohol markers. I made this a blue crab, even though he isn't blue <wink> anymore! He was mounted to the card with some foam squares after I fussy cut him out!

Nothing could be a more perfect fit that the Water Droplets stencil  with my last three stamp sets: Vicky Mermaid, Karen Mermaid and now Todd Turtle.  It was easy to use a dauber on the background with the ocean mist, blue lagoon and turquoise sea inks.  Those colors, now that I think of it, are made for these sets too! The tag is stamped with back ink and tied off with some twine for a nautical look. I used a white gel pen on the dots for some dimension. The starfish was colored with spectrum noir markers (just a hint of color for some depth).

I used some glossy paper on this main image - with alcohol markers and black ink on the floral bunches and sentiments. I love the background so much!
