Birthday Thank You Notes

I can hardly believe it is November!  October flew by and there were many birthday parties (we have so many October birthdays in our house).  Victoria even had a group of her very best friends throw her a surprise party, so I spent yesterday creating special thank you notes for her to give to those friends.  Victoria is a green girl, so I used some green card stock with some custom silhouette files. The clean & simple card also features a stamp from Lots of Lines and Gina K's new white ink.  I had a stash of this beautiful, wide, white satin ribbon, which was simply tied in a knot and tucked behind the green layer. I tried to keep it as simple as possible since I had to make 20!

Next week I am tackling the 50 sweet 16 thank you cards which I have to make for Karen's friends!  Slow Down November!

Moxie Fab Blog Hop: Thank You Cath!

My bff Debbie shared this lovely Blog Hop challenge with me and, like Voldemort is to Harry Potter, I will never back down from a challenge! Watch me wave my magic wand!

Cath: AKA Moxie Fab is such a vital part of the paper craft industry! Sadly, the Legend has left the building!  She will be missed!

I used a Gina K. white card stock base and added some powder blue on top, with a fancy cut edge from the silhouette machine.  I punched a star and stamped the star in powder blue with the star from Lots of Lines. "Many Thanks" sentiment in white Gina K. ink.  The white satin ribbon is tied in a simple knot and adhered behind the powder blue layer. I used some blue dew drops to the bottom of the card and then some stickles atop the star!

A little bling and many thanks to Cath for her years of cheering everyone on in the stamping and scrapping community! Bon Voyage!

Gina K / Faber-Castell Blog Hop Day 5

Welcome to Day 5 of the Gina K. Designs/Faber-Castell Blog Hop!  We've got another incredible day of inspiration for you, so lets get started! Don't forget to keep those comments coming to enter to win a Gina K. Designs stamp set of your choice (up to a $24.95 value)

Pop over to the Faber-Castell Blog and leave a comment for a chance to win a Designing With Gelatos Kit, too!

So I looked at the package of Faber-Castell 50's Diner gelatos and I had to decide how I could tackle this latest designing hurdle:  figure out how to use these products and then make something that will not be totally embarrassing! I watched a few Youtube videos and decided that it was going to be simple!  I took a piece of Gina K. white card stock and punched out the snowflakes.  I colored with the Aqua Dolce gelato and then smeared it with my fingers. It was like a hazy misty sleet background! Not Bad. I kind of like it!  I adhered it with foam squares on top of the kraft, with small pieces of white behind the main image.  I covered the negative images with stickles and stamped "celebrate" from Lots of Lines in black ink.  A few dew drops and I was pretty happy with the result!  What do you think?

Here was the hop order (just don't want you to miss any of the "Fab"er-Castell projects (get it FAB!)
