Gina K. Designs & ThermOWeb Autumn Stamp-n-Foil Release

Welcome to the Gina K. Designs & ThermOWeb Autumn Stamp-n-Foil Release!

Who is ready for Fall? I'm not - we just got back from our annual summer trip to the Outer Banks and the kids are already geared up for Fall Sports (which began yesterday). I guess that means it is time for pumpkin spice latte and some apple picking!

I was in a krafty mood this time around, so two of the cards are made with Kraft A2 bases. I love the way the leaves look on kraft, stamped with Gina K. Amalgam Jet Black ink and colored with copic markers.

This second card features the sunflower image stamped with Gina K. Amalgam Jet Black ink and colored with copic markers. It is on a 4.25 square card kraft base.  The Gina K. Gingham ribbon is looped through some small holes, punched on either side of the stem.

This final card is a foil card - using a tranquil teal A2 card base. I sponged the background in tranquil teal and jelly bean green inks and foiled with a gold sequin foil. The sentiment is stamped on Gina K. white card stock. The flower is sponged with tranquil teal ink and also foiled! I used a button with gold cord!

Trying this out: Here is a little clip of the foil in action - it is hard to see it in a photograph, but this little video show you how much the card shines!

I hope you enjoyed these samples!

If you haven't already, swing by all the designer's blogs and give them some love! You will be eligible for a $50 gift certificate - think of all the foil you can get with that!!

First, here is what I created with Butterfly Kisses (note - I love this set - I love butterflies and the delicate wings, matching dies...I could go on and on):

This first card is a Gina K. Designs black A2 base. I used the Gina K. Designs white card stock (layering weight) and stamped the sentiment on the bottom left with Gina K. black ink. I die cut the butterflies on black card stock and then stamped them with Gina K. white ink. I used chalk to create the butterfly wing colors and I LOVE how they turned out. I used a combination of royal blue and turquoise/teals to create this effect.  For the splattered background I used a wet paint brush dipped in the chalk and tapped the brush gently over the white paper to let it splatter!

Here is a close up of the chalked butterflies - I used my finger to grab the chalk color and gently tapped it on the white ink to let the color grab on.

For this next card, I used a black Gina K. A2 base and stamped the sentiment in white ink.  It was not as dark as I wanted, so I poured on some white embossing powder and heat embossed the sentiment. Now it *really* pops off the card! For the butterflies, I used the new blue glitter foil and I LOVE it! First, I used the pre-printed butterfly sheets and die cut the three butterfly sizes I wanted. I took those butterfly die cuts and ran them through the laminator with the blue glitter foil. The butterflies were then adhered to the card with small foam dots.

Here is a close up of the butterflies - see how they sparkle?

A little closer, a little more sparkle!

This card was clean and simple fun! I die cut the banner on white card stock and then stamped the HAPPY BIRTHDAY banner in black ink. I think that it covered pretty good! The cake stand and candles were stamped in black, the cake details in pink passion, and then the candles and flames and cake stand base were colored with copic markers!

This final card uses a white Gina K. base. I used glossy paper for the main image because I wanted to see if I could get a "watercolor" type effect with my copic markers, using the glossy paper. I stamped the images in Gina K. black ink and used a variety of makers to color them in. I used a fine tip black marker to speckle around the images and finally finished the card using a white gel pen on the flowers.

Gina K. Designs introduces: Furry Friends

Welcome to the Gina K. Designs "Furry Friends" stamp set blog hop. First and foremost, I want to introduce you to my furry friends, Percy Jackson and Maximus Gunnar.  They are both miniature golden doodles. They also both have instagram accounts (percythegolden_ and  maxthedoodle_)if you want to follow them!

And speaking of instagram - I am now going to be putting my cards on  my instagram account: {HERE}

These pups are full of energy and certainly keep me and the kids on our toes!

For some reason, Max loves to get in trouble more than Percy! This time, he decided to jump in the fire pit and sniff around in the soot. He must have thought there were s'mores or something in there!

I am pretty sure this time Max was blaming Percy, but they were both caught digging in the yard!

Percy was all smiles when we had a snow storm last month!

This is one of my favorites: Max deciding to go down the pool slide.  He sat there for quite some time before I realized where he was.  No he does not swim! They both hate getting wet!

And this was today, during Winter Storm Liam! The snow was chest deep and very fluffy - perfect for frolicking!

So for the people in your life who love their furry friends, Gina K. Designs now offers Furry Friends!

Two separate stamp sets with matching die cuts!

Here are the cards which I created with these sets:

Here is a closer look at the kitty card! I used a base weight of white with some Gina K. Designer paper from my stash.  I die cut the cat and the paws (three times). The dies are attached with foam circles to pop them off the page a bit.  Any cat lover would be Purrfectly Pleased to receive this card!

Ack! I cannot stand the cuteness of this dog!  This is what I wake up to every day. Max (the little dog) sleeps on the bed with me and wakes up so happy every morning. Percy is happy too, but impatient and he steals my slippers and brings them to the front stairs (to move me along).  For some reason I hear Randy Jackson's voice when I look at the sentiment! Ha Ha!

So - take a look around the other design team's blogs to give them some love!

Gina K. Designs Share the Love with Foil-Mates Blog Hop

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Gina K. Designs Share the Love with Foil Mates Blog Hop!  I love using foil mates - my KIDS love watching the papers transform into such beautiful bling - they swipe the cards from my hands before the adhesive is even dry!  This one is super cute but SO hard to photograph!  I tried a few angles so you can see how truly spectacular the shine is!

I used some pinks and blacks together to create this card.  It may be a nice card to slip in Todd's backpack for when he travels - which has been a TON lately! It's always nice to feel loved!

Do you have any fun Valentine Traditions? I usually give each of the kids something special - and this year, I even hired my friend Heather (who puts together gift boxes) to create an extra special something for my daughter, Karen who is away at college.  She needs to feel the love too! This year Todd and I are celebrating with my favorite musician - Elton John - in Las Vegas!  This year I hope we don't get stranded in Vegas!

Have a super day and a wonderful Valentine's Day
and now hop on over to the next blog!

Stop by each of the blogs below, give them some Valentine's love and you could be entered for a prize from Gina K. Designs!  There will be one $50 gift certificates chosen from the comments on ALL the blog posts! So hop over to ALL the blogs and leave some love! That will buy a lot of Foil-Mates!

Gina K. Designs January 2018 New Release Blog Hop: Day Two

Welcome to day two of the Gina K. Designs new release blog hop. Today we are featuring Theresa's Enchanted Garden, Lisa Hetrick's You Are set and Claire Brennan's Geo Thanks set.

The Enchanted Garden set is so cute. It reminds me of Finding Neverland (love that musical)....made me cry!
I stamped the fairy dust first with black ink and then sprinkled it with glitter and heat embossed it. The dust actually glitters (hard to see in the photo). The fairy and sentiment are also stamped in black. I used watercolors for the background and then used a white gel pen to make stars.

This card uses black ink that is sprinkled with glitter and heat embossed. The whole card shimmers!  I stamped the moon and fairy ink white ink and then sprinkled them with glitter and heat embossed them. This card is so shimmery in real life!

Oh my gosh! I love this set! It is so funky!  I stamped the images on the white heavy Gina K. card base.  Then I colored everything.  I didn't love it. So I stamped the flowers again - trimmed and colored them and popped them up on the base and I love it!

This card is so simple! I stamped the image on glossy paper and colored it with spectrum noir markers in pinks and reds.  It really looks like stained glass or a ruby heart in real life!

I had such high expectations of this set - I love it but the photo does not do the colors justice.  The flowers and wreath are stamped in white ink, heat embossed with white and colored with spectrum noir markers which pops off the page. Sentiment stamped in mango and black.  I added some gems to the wreath!

This one is stamped on lemon base with lemon and white ink. I added some white embossing powder to make it pop, them stamped the flower and sentiment in lemon ink. I added some yellow gems to the center of the flowers.

Finally, I combined Emmy & Riley with Lisa's You Are set. I added the soccer ball! So cute! Wouldn't this be amazing for a little soccer player - or a soccer coach?

I love your feedback!  Which card did you like/love/hate

Stop by each of them, give them some love and you could be entered for a prize from Gina K. Designs!  There will be one of 3 $25 gift certificates chosen from the comments on ALL the blog posts! So hop over to ALL the blogs and leave some love!  Sound fun (and free?)....
