Gina K. Design May Illustrator Hop

It is really overwhelming to get new stamps every month and have to have new Gina K. colors and stamps sitting on my desk giving me attitude. The pile is muttering "BRING ME TO LIFE!".  THE PRESSURE!  It is especially difficult with my OWN stamps, which at one time, I had a vision (this idea would be a really cool stamp).  So after hours at the craft desk creating (and never cleaning up -- it's a HUGE MESS)I have to blog.  Today I got up at 5 am to blog post, because I have *so much* going on with the kids and the time snuck away from me.

The buttons collections are going to be available this month too:
Tuxedo Mix
Sunrise Smoothie
Berry Blues
Pink Passion
These will coordinate with the new color companions!

Let's see some stuff in action! (right?)

The first card is created with the new colors (passionate pink, sweet corn, sweet mango) using the dots from my Lots of Dots set.  The Hello is from Cammie's new set: Stamp it Big 2

The patterns in Melanie's new set: Pretty Patterns 2 is so fun to work with.  I stamped the square pattern on a piece of Gina K. white, then cut the bottom and attached it to a white base.  The squares were stamped in different greens (grass green, fresh asparagus, dark sage).  The sentiment and banner are from Cammie's new set Stamp It Big 2.

This is my *FAVORITE* card this month! The grey and yellow are smokin' hot together! I used the Pretty Patterns 2 for the background and the butterfly pattern (a custom cut silhouette file) is stamped with sweet corn using a flower from Becky's Bold Blooms set.  The sentiment is from Assorted Greetings.

I created this using some fun Gina K. designer papers and some turquoise sea card stock.  My new set Weather or Not features some fun spring mix and match images and coordinating sentiments. I used the raindrop trio on the base, using versamark ink.  The umbrella was paper pieced and the handle of the umbrella was colored with copics!

Finally (I have to save some samples for tonight and next week), I made this bright card with one of Debbie's new Diva sets (green thumb diva).  I used the spring parade designer papers and colored the image with copics!

Check out what the other illustrators have in store:

And remember, the release party starts at 7 pm in the StampTV forum tonight! See you there!

Gina K. Designs: Color Companions...new ink

I just received my inks from Gina K. Designs and I could not be happier with the product. The coverage is phenomenal! If you are like me, you probably have a small fortune invested in stamping supplies. It's frustrating when you order something and expect quality and it is not delivered!

I am here to tell you that this ink is FANTASTIC! For $5.95 per pad you will be THRILLED! Ebay and Craigslist are going to be hopping with all my old inks!

The inks are currently available in 8 colors:

The ink pads are Made in the USA! They are acid-free, PH neutral, water proof, and they cling to the stamps incredibly!

Here is the ink stamped on both Kraft (top) card stock and white (bottom) with one of the stamps from Lovely Ladybug.

On the right is a card which I stamped with Lovely Ladybug for last night's release party. I used memento ink (angel pink and rhubarb stalk). On the left is the same images stamped with the innocent pink and cherry red inks from Gina K. Not that memento doesn't have beautiful coverage, but this new ink seems to grab to the clearly gina k stamps better and create an image that is crisp and clean.  Having matching card stock, ribbon and buttons is definitely a plus!
