A Few More Liam & Liz (and Leo) Lion samples

Here are a couple of more cards which I created with my latest stamp set Liam & Liz Lion. This one uses an evergreen base with some watercolor paper on top. I use a wide tip brush and created the background. I added another layer of evergreen under the main image.   The images were colored with alcohol markers.

This card uses a Gina K. white base with some Gina K. Bold & Blooming designer paper on top. I used a stitched die for the main image and used the heart and sentiments on the edge! The images were colored with alcohol markers.

The set is now available at Gina K. Designs (Click Here)

Gina K. Designs March Preview- Day 2: Introducing Liam & Liz Lion

Here is my latest set called Liam & Liz Lion. My nephew, Liam always carried around this adorable stuffed cat called Fluffy.  My mom and  my daughter's bestie (who is like my 6th daughter) is Liz! I think I will refer to the baby lion as Leo (that was my Great Grandpa's name)

This clean and simple card features the big Lion (Liam) stamped right on kraft with the "you are my mane squeeze" sentiment stamped in black. I used alcohol markers to color in the lion!

This clean and simple card features the baby Lion  (Leo) stamped on a Gina K. stitched circle die cut. The background uses white ink with the heart stamp on the innocent pink base. I used alcohol markers to color in the lion! The banner die cut in black for the sentiment, which was stamped and embossed with white embossing powder. I adhered them both to the base with foam dots.

This clean and simple card features the mama Lion (Liz), stamped and colored with alcohol markers. She is adhered to the watercolored background with circle dots. There are tiny little gems in the hearts. The base is turquoise sea.

This clean and simple card features the big Lion (Liam) stamped right on glossy paper with the "you rule" sentiment stamped in black. I used alcohol markers to color in the lion, the background and finally, the hat was stamped and colored with a gold metallic marker. Everything was mounted on a kraft base.

This card features the baby Lion (Leo) stamped right on a black stitched die cut circle with white ink (and heat embossed). The "be courageous" sentiment is also stamped in white ink and heat embossed. The base is jelly bean green and the ribbon is Gina K. gingham black/white!

The last card features the baby lion (Leo) surrounded by some watercoloring. The sentiment "I'm wild about you" is stamped in black on the banner die.  There are gems on the background to add a little bling!

Gina K. Designs/ThermoWeb Stamp-n-Foil Blog Hop

There are so many fabulous things going on right now with ThermoWeb and Gina K. Designs!  Today I will showcase some of these amazing new products!  There is something here for everyone! The possibilities are endless!

Here are the goodies: Butterfly Kisses, Time To Celebrate & Where Flowers Bloom

All these items will be available at Gina K. Designs online store!

First, here is what I created with Butterfly Kisses (note - I love this set - I love butterflies and the delicate wings, matching dies...I could go on and on):

This first card is a Gina K. Designs black A2 base. I used the Gina K. Designs white card stock (layering weight) and stamped the sentiment on the bottom left with Gina K. black ink. I die cut the butterflies on black card stock and then stamped them with Gina K. white ink. I used chalk to create the butterfly wing colors and I LOVE how they turned out. I used a combination of royal blue and turquoise/teals to create this effect.  For the splattered background I used a wet paint brush dipped in the chalk and tapped the brush gently over the white paper to let it splatter!

Here is a close up of the chalked butterflies - I used my finger to grab the chalk color and gently tapped it on the white ink to let the color grab on.

For this next card, I used a black Gina K. A2 base and stamped the sentiment in white ink.  It was not as dark as I wanted, so I poured on some white embossing powder and heat embossed the sentiment. Now it *really* pops off the card! For the butterflies, I used the new blue glitter foil and I LOVE it! First, I used the pre-printed butterfly sheets and die cut the three butterfly sizes I wanted. I took those butterfly die cuts and ran them through the laminator with the blue glitter foil. The butterflies were then adhered to the card with small foam dots.

Here is a close up of the butterflies - see how they sparkle?

A little closer, a little more sparkle!

This card was clean and simple fun! I die cut the banner on white card stock and then stamped the HAPPY BIRTHDAY banner in black ink. I think that it covered pretty good! The cake stand and candles were stamped in black, the cake details in pink passion, and then the candles and flames and cake stand base were colored with copic markers!

This final card uses a white Gina K. base. I used glossy paper for the main image because I wanted to see if I could get a "watercolor" type effect with my copic markers, using the glossy paper. I stamped the images in Gina K. black ink and used a variety of makers to color them in. I used a fine tip black marker to speckle around the images and finally finished the card using a white gel pen on the flowers.
