So I looked at the package of Faber-Castell 50's Diner gelatos and I had to decide how I could tackle this latest designing hurdle: figure out how to use these products and then make something that will not be totally embarrassing! I watched a few Youtube videos and decided that it was going to be simple! I took a piece of Gina K. white card stock and punched out the snowflakes. I colored with the Aqua Dolce gelato and then smeared it with my fingers. It was like a hazy misty sleet background! Not Bad. I kind of like it! I adhered it with foam squares on top of the kraft, with small pieces of white behind the main image. I covered the negative images with stickles and stamped "celebrate" from Lots of Lines in black ink. A few dew drops and I was pretty happy with the result! What do you think?
Here was the hop order (just don't want you to miss any of the "Fab"er-Castell projects (get it FAB!)

That's exactly how I prefer my Hazy Misty Sleet.....ON a beautiful card. Love how you punch out the snowflakes too, very pretty--without all that shoveling! :)

Thank you for sharing this amazing card
It is such a great idea to have the snowflake show through, all glittery and pretty.
very pretty. You can feel the cold wind blowing. Some of the snowflakes are too big to blow so they are prominent on the card. Great job. Will have to try this one. thanks for sharing.
Very pretty! And I love that it's easy enough to mass produce!
I really like how your whole card turned out. Sounds easy and I really like that background. Smearing inky paint like substances can be a freeing experience.
Love how you dug in and got dirty! Finished card is lovely and bet it looks even more fabulous in real life.
I think that this card is amazing and would be easy to reproduce many for Christmas this year.
Beautiful! I like how you used the gelato with your finger on the back ground cool effect.
Love the soft blue background you created with the Gelatos for your wonderful snowflake technique. The Stickles glitter glue really shows beautifully on your card and adds the perfect pop for the card. Really pretty and I'm filing this in my mind for Christmas. Thank you for sharing.
How could anything you make be embarrassing, Beth? Your card is so creative and just plain beautiful! Love how you blended the pretty blue background (sky) for your snowflakes. :-)

Your card is beautiful! I never would of thought that the gelatos would look that nice! love the snowflakes.
Versatile coloring system. Muted, or bright and bold - nice to have all the options!
That really is "fab" and simple to case. Great job on the use of GKD with Faber- castell.
love the soft colors and just a hint of shine, so elegant and beautiful !!
I like the snowflakes. I think it would be cool to do the background first, then punch. Glue the punch outs on envelopes.

I love this card! You did a great job. Thanks for the ideas.
How fun! It turned out beautifully! I saw on YT a lady used gesso first, then let it dry, then gelatos and sprayed a touch of h2o before blending and it was creamy goodness. She did a comparison with and without gesso. I imagine we could use glossy card instead of plain w/gesso. Love your aqua color!!!
I think you ended up with a very beautiful card! Thanks for sharing!
It came out great Beth! Sounds like so much fun!
Aqua Dolce gelato - how interesting! Thanks for the information and sharing with us.
