Here is a little card I created with Let's Talk by Debbie Corbari! It is super simple, using patterned paper and the colors from the paper. I used a fun angle on the pattern paper layer. Bubble words were stamped and gently trimmed, then adhered with foam dots!
I am also showing you some cards with my Fleur de lis stamp set. I can honestly say that this set has become one of my favorites. I took a little stamping break, cleaned off my desk and found some supplies which I had not used in a while (watercolor brush). I started playing with the set and created some cards which I love. Sometimes I am my harshest critic. I can honestly say I made these cards and I was GRINNING! It has been a LONG time since I have been happy with a
stack of cards.
This first flour de lis card was stamped with a pice of ivory base, along with a piece of die cut Gina K. Ivory. This is the key, I stamped the flour de list image with black ink and used clear embossing powder on it immediately, heat set it and it gave a raised embossed look. Then, I used ink pads and a watercolor brush to blend the background. I washed the card with blues and greens (ocean mist, artichoke, turquoise sea) simply picking up the color on the brush. I added some extra deep color inside the our de lis image. I dried it with my heat gun and then added the sentiment and some gems.
I created the next card the same way, adding embossing powder to the black stamped image to make it slightly raised. I used the watercolor brush to color in the images.
So dig into your supplies and pull out your watercolor brush! That is all you need! See you Friday!
Now please continue to enjoy the hop and have
a fabulous day!

I like the fun design on your miss you card. Great job! How fun are your Fleur De lis cards using water colors. The embossing does help keep the paint where you want it. Fabulous CAS cards.

what great ideas.
Very nice cards. I love the way you used the talking balloons. Looks like a crowd of people standing around shouting without seeing them. I don't know if I would have thought to use them like that. But then I am not as creative as you.
The "O.M.G." made me giggle!
Love how different stamp sets can totally change one's style. Thanks for the great examples!
I love the simple look of both cards, yet they are so beautiful.
Lovely cards, I really like the watercolor technique you used.

Cute cards. Great job on the watercolor.
I can't choose which one I like the best. The fleur de lis in the middle just gets it for me. Cheers from Aussieland.
Neat cards. Love the water coloring. Thanks.

I need to try some watercoloring on my cards but never seem to do it.

Hi this is Kim Hadad - I can't figure out how to change my profile from Stamping Dog mom as I haven't used that forever! LOL
I love your clean & simple cards and you are so right - sometimes those are not so easy to do!
I love your use of the fleur de lis stamps on these cards. I find it difficult to come up with designs for elements like these so I appreciate your creativity!
